Viral Moments NFL Fans Missed From Day One of 2024 Pro Bowl Games

The first night of the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl Games was held in Orlando, Fla. on Thursday, with some fun and bizarre skills competition taking place between some of the league’s most gifted stars.

Among the slew of activities the Pro Bowlers participated in for the Skills Showdown included a golf precision pin challenge, a “High Stakes” punt catching contest, kicking Tic-Tac-Toe, and even a wild game of dodgeball, among others.

After one day of competition, the NFC holds a 12–6 lead over the AFC, with more exciting action set to come on Sunday.

There were plenty of viral moments from Thursday night’s Pro Bowl Games, and we’ve rounded up some of the best highlights.

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Miles Killebrew starred in the High Stakes contest, and he dropped jaws when he managed to successfully corral a sky high punt while holding onto five other footballs.

Killebrew cleverly stuck one of the footballs between his legs, freeing up some space for him to secure the incoming punt in what was a spectacular catch from the 30-year-old.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield helped the NFC secure a victory in the Precision Passing event, and he had a hilarious roast of himself afterwards, joking that his last in-game pass was an interception to Derrick Barnes of the Detroit Lions during the NFC divisional round.

The Buccaneers quarterbacked then soaked in the NFC’s victory with a celebratory dance alongside Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce starred in the Snap Shots competition, where centers snapped a football into holes on a wall. The beloved offensive lineman was fixated on landing a five-point snap, the highest possible point tally, and showcased remarkable persistence in his pursuit.

After a plethora of missed attempts, Kelce finally sent one through for five points with just a couple of seconds to spare.

Los Angeles Rams rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua then impressed in the Best Catch contest, where he was pitted against Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku, by hauling in a pass while riding a wakeboard at 17 mph.

Although he didn’t catch it on his first try, the creative catch was a fun moment during Thursday’s Pro Bowl Games.

As for Njoku’s contribution to the challenge, he caught a pass in midair after doing a swinging backflip into a huge pool of water.

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry stole the show during dodgeball, as he made a stunning catch on a throw from Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons before turning and firing a missile to knock out Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker

There were plenty of fun moments during Thursday’s slate of games, and the action will be back on Sunday, Feb. 4, starting at 3 p.m. ET.
