It is no secret that Graeme Souness is not a fan of former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Liverpool and Scotland legend has previously made his feelings clear towards the Juventus star, and it’s fair to say they have not changed much.

Previously speaking at a Second Captains podcast live event in Dublin, Souness said: “He’s an extremely talented young man. He should be one of the best midfield players in the world, but he’s lazy,” he said.
“If you remember how he used to take penalties, that was him wanting to be the star of the show for that period of time.”
Pogba was criticised by Souness throughout his six-years at Man United, insisting the ‘price isn’t right’ when they a club-record £89million to secure his services from Juventus in 2016.
He was also unsure whether Pogba had ‘a football brain’ and later added he was ‘a bit of a YouTuber’ in September 2017.

Then a year later, he dubbed Pogba ‘a selfish player’ in a Times newspaper column in 2018, before questioning his commitment before his Red Devils exit in 2022.
The Scot has since revealed why he has been critical of the France international in the past.
“He had the equipment to be the best midfielder in the world,” Souness said on talkSPORT’s Simon & Souness show.
“I saw a young man that was going through emotions a lot of the time, and that frustrated me.

“With that physique and that technical ability, he just did not have the right attitude to make him a superstar.
“The worst thing that happened to him was winning a World Cup, because he could turn and say, ‘I am a World Cup winner’.
“I think at that point, it was him going backwards.”
Pogba is currently suspended by Italy’s national anti-doping tribunal and Juventus after testing positive for a banned substance.

The maximum sentence for a breach of doping rules could be as long as four years.
However, Pogba will do all he can to prove he did not knowingly take a banned substance.
