After the U14s’ clash against Leeds, Kai udpated his 174,000 Instagram followers of his performance where he claimed to have scored twice and assisted another two in a 6-0 thrashing of Leeds.

Rooney’s eldest son added that this was his first match back after ‘months out.’

This isn’t the first time Kai has impressed for Man United’s youth sides having scored in a cup final win over rivals Manchester City.

As mentioned, he is the eldest son of Rooney and the England and Man United legend’s wife Coleen. Klay, ten, Joseph, seven and Cass, five are the couple’s other sons.

Kai was also signed to model for Puma back in 2022. His dad was always a Nike athlete.

Rooney senior enjoyed incredible success at Old Trafford, winning five Premier League titles an FA Cup three League Cups as well as the Champions League. He’s also the club’s record goalscorer with 253 strikes to his name.

Rooney has moved into the world of management since retiring as a player in 2021 but is currently out of work having lost his job as Birmingham boss earlier this month.

It's not clear what kept Kai sidelined, but he's made a roaring comeback
