Jordan Henderson is pushing to force through a move to Ajax, talkSPORT understands.
Henderson’s Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq are yet to receive a formal offer for the England midfielder.

Reports of Henderson being unsettled emerged earlier this month, but Al Ettifaq’s position was one of their captain being not for sale amid hopes to build the team around him.
However, Al Ettifaq’s stance appears to have now softened with Ajax confident they can get the deal done.
The 33-year-old midfielder left Liverpool after 12 years of service in the summer to join Al Ettifaq in a £12million deal.
Although it’s been a highly lucrative move for Henderson he is now itching for a move away with his time in the Middle East seeing plenty of setbacks.
The club built a new gym amid suggestions it wasn’t up to the required statement within his first few days at the club.
Henderson has gone from playing at some of the world’s most iconic football grounds with Liverpool and England to playing in matches with less than 700 people attending.
Meanwhile, Al Ettifaq, who are managed by Henderson’s former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard, are in wretched form having not won any of their last nine matches. They are currently ninth in the Saudi Pro League, 28 points off leaders Al Hilal.
And now it appears a new adventure in the Netherlands will await for Henderson, although Ajax are having a poor season themselves.

The Dutch giants are fifth in the Eredivisie after a terrible start to the campaign even saw them drop into the relegation zone.
Henderson, who began his career at boyhood club Sunderland, was linked with a return to the Premier League, but with the Black Cats’ North East rivals Newcastle.
He has also been linked with a move to German clubs Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen as well as Italian giants Juventus.
Henderson joined Liverpool from Sunderland in the summer of 2011 before being made Reds captain in 2015.
Despite numerous doubts about his credentials, Henderson played a key role in one of the most successful periods in Liverpool’s history, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Champions League.
Henderson has 81 England caps to his name and is eyeing a spot in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad this summer.
