Oleksandr Usyk’s manager has lashed out at Tyson Fury, labeling him a ‘f***ing coward’.

The Gypsy King was due to face the Ukrainian star on February 17 in Saudi Arabia in a historic clash to unify the world heavyweight division, however that fight has since been postponed.

This is due to a nasty cut picked up by Fury in sparring – an injury that left Paris Fury shaking and led him to need 15 stitches.

While Frank Warren insisted that the fight will be rearranged, Usyk’s camp are seemingly less-than impressed at the news of the postponement.

Usyk’s manager, Egis Klimas, spoke to Ring TV to give his reaction to the news and did not hold back in his assessment.

“Tyson Fury is a f—ng coward who will do anything not to face Usyk, and he asked his bitch to hit him with a frying pan in his brow,” he said.

“You can quote me word for word for that.”

Asked how Usyk responded to the postponement, Klimas said: “When the news was brought to Oleksandr, he just smiled.

“That is all he did. He is too mentally strong to break.

“I was waiting for this moment.”

Despite Klimas’ verdict on the postponement, Fury couldn’t hide his disappointment in a statement of his own, saying: “I am absolutely devastated after preparing for this fight for so long and being in such superb condition.

“I feel bad for everyone involved in this huge event and I will work diligently towards the rescheduled date once the eye has healed.

Boxing promoter Frank Warren shocked at Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk being postponed due to a cut above Fury’s eye, but insists the bout will still go ahead in the near future

“I can only apologise to everyone affected including my own team, Team Usyk, the undercard fighters, partners, and fans as well as our hosts and my friends in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”
