Derek Chisora has claimed that he’s been offered an all-British showdown with Joe Joyce by Frank Warren.

‘Del Boy’ has been out of action since his unanimous decision win over Gerald Washington last August on the Anthony Joshua vs Robert Helenius undercard and is now plotting his next move.

Chisora insists a fight with Joyce could be on the cards, while he also mentioned Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller’s name in the same breath.

Frank Warren has reached out to me for Joe Joyce,” he told iFL TV.

“It interests me but I don’t want it when they want it. They want it at the end of the year.

“I’ve also got Baby Miller. People offer fights, but do they really wanna fight? They make phone calls and sound you out then don’t phone again.”

Joyce is currently rebuilding his career following a pair of devastating stoppage losses to Zhilei Zhang last year.

He defeated Kash Ali inside the distance two weeks ago but his performance left a lot to be desired.

Ali was in survival mode for the majority of the contest, which meant Joyce struggled to produce the type of emphatic win he needed to reannounce himself to the boxing world.

But a fight with Chisora, who always leaves it all in the ring, would more than likely catch fire for a few rounds even if the British boxing legend is well past his best.

Boxing fans are unlikely to be enthralled by the match-up with many of them hoping to see Chisora retire after a gruelling 17-year career in the paid ranks.

However, despite recently celebrating his 40th birthday, Chisora still has no intention of hanging up his gloves.

Asked if he still has the desire to fight, Chisora replied: “I still got it badly. I still want the smoke, I want violence, that’s what I want.

“We live in a world of violence, if you don’t prepare yourself for violence then forget about it. People want violence and I want violence.”

The Miller fight is an intriguing one. Chisora claims he was offered a bout with the American on the ‘Day of Reckoning’ bill at the back end of last year but chose to turn it down.

Daniel Dubois ended up boxing Miller instead and handed ‘Big Baby’ the first defeat of his professional career via a tenth-round stoppage.
