The Arizona Cardinals are expected to sign free agent offensive tackle Jonah Williams to a two-year, $30 million contract, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday.

Williams was a first-round pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2019 and spent his entire career with the team. After missing his rookie season due to a torn ACL, Williams started 59 games for the Bengals since 2020, including all but two contests over the past three seasons.

The Cardinals also released starting left tackle D.J. Humphries on Wednesday, paving the way for Williams to join the team. Humphries spent the past nine years in Arizona but had a $22 million cap hit for 2024 and is still recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last season.

With Williams in and Humphries out, the Cardinals are likely to play Williams at right tackle with second-year tackle Paris Johnson Jr. moving to left tackle, according to Mike Garafolo. Arizona also owns the No. 4 pick in next month’s NFL draft, and can possibly focus on wide receiver with its tackles locked in.
