Dwayne ‘The Rock ‘ Johnson took his insane fitness regime to a whole new level by training in sauna-like conditions.
The wrestler-turned actor is known for his gruelling gym sessions and it appears he has no plans of slowing down anytime soon.
Johnson took to Instagram to share a video of his session and it’s fair to say it wasn’t for the faint-hearted.
The 51-year-old performed a chest exercise while drenched in sweat as droplets visibly poured from his head.
One can only imagine the desert-like temperatures, but that wasn’t going to deter Johnson from getting his workout done.
Alongside the video, he wrote: “Hot as hell today in the gym like a sauna, but great training session. We pushed hard and made progress.
“Been applying the “get to” philosophy lately when it comes to pushing myself, getting after it and raising the bar. And that mindset has really helped me calibrate my perspective and get even more focused.
“We “get to” put in the work as opposed to we “have to” Big difference you can apply to all areas of life in a positive way.”
“Grateful for the grind. Have a productive week, my friends.”
He then signed off with a little training tip for his followers which read: “Go super light on this chest finisher and squeeze the hell outta the reps.”
As he continues to step up his training, WWE fans would be forgiven for thinking the former world champion was getting himself in ring shape ahead of Wrestlemania XL in Philadelphia next April.
Johnson has long been rumoured to face Universal Champion and cousin Roman Reigns who has held the title for three years.
A build-up to a blockbuster showdown could begin at January’s Royal Rumble which officially kicks off the road to Wrestlemania.
Johnson has teased a return to face his cousin on numerous occasions but the actor’s hectic schedule has often clashed with the star-studded event.
But with Reigns having destroyed everyone in his path including Brock Lesnar, Johnson appears the only legitimate challenger to dethrone the Tribal Chief.
