Ben Chilwell showed off his incredible courtside view as he soaked in some stellar NBA action.
The Chelsea defender is currently undergoing a period of rehab after suffering a hamstring injury in September and is making the most of his time away from the pitch.
With the setback likely to keep him out until December, the 26-year-old has gone in search of a change of scenery as he steps up his recovery, taking in some top-tier basketball in Los Angeles.
Taking to Instagram, Chilwell shared a post and a story of him sitting courtside for the clash between the LA Lakers and the LA Clippers at the Crypto.com Arena.
On the night, the Lakers took their record to 3-2 for the season as they recorded a 130-125 win with Lebron James putting up 35 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.
For Chilwell, it was the perfect place to soak in the action as he shared his view, along with a photo that he took with his friend who accompanied him.
The left-back has spent recent weeks at Chelsea’s training ground in Cobham, however, manager Mauricio Pochettino encouraged him to enjoy a change of scene in order to aid his recovery.
The Chelsea boss said: “The plan was to change the scenario for him.
“That happens in different clubs. When it’s a long period of recovery, sometimes we change the scenarios for them.
‘Twelve hours here every day, it’s a fantastic training ground, but sometimes the player needs to change the atmosphere and the scenario to keep their recovery in a good way.
“It’s still difficult to know when he will be back.”
Chilwell joined Chelsea from Leicester in 2020 and has since made 92 first team appearances.
